My passion for beauty and wellness began when I was just a child — braiding the hair of my mum, sisters, and cousins with a sense of care and joy that felt deeper than just styling. Over time, that simple love evolved into a vision — a calling. An assignment to honour and restore the feminine expression of God — the side that is often misunderstood, labelled as soft or weak, yet carries strength, nurture, and influence.
For generations, a woman’s appearance has been seen as her most valuable asset — but at AdornedbyJay, we believe beauty is not limited to the outside. As my passion grew, I had a vision: to create a community where women are adorned not just externally, but internally— in their spirit, soul, and body (1 Peter 3:3). To create a community where each woman finds purpose even in her beauty.
I began to see clearly that true beauty and purpose require wholeness. To walk fully in your purpose, you must be sound in every part of your being. Wellness is not just about physical health— it’s emotional, spiritual, and mental alignment (1 Thessolonians 5:23). That’s why this brand was birthed— not just to style hair, but to build women. Women who are confident, healed, and whole— Queens with a Purpose.
At AdornedbyJay, we combine beauty services with intentional wellnes. From professional hairstyling and luxury hair care to wellness initiatives like run clubs, fitness sessions, and faith empowerment programs — everything we do is rooted in the belief that when a woman is well on the inside, her light shines even brighter on the outside.
Just like Esther in the Bible, who was prepared outwardly for a moment of royal presentation, she soon learned that her true assignment was far greater — she was chosen to deliver her people and walk in purpose. Her beauty was not the end goal — it was preparation for destiny.
